            B.        Paidion (pahee-dee’-on) the “potty” stage

1. 1 Yochanan (1 John) 2:13:  know their Father (acquaintance)

2. 1 Yochanan (1 John) 2:18:  know the antimashiach - know the times coming to knowledge (accountable)

            C.        Teknon (tek’-non) teenage - youth

1. Yochanan (John) 1:12:  the sons of YHWH; rights & privileges (responsibility)

2. Romans 8:16-21:  heirs & equal heirs; sharing benefits & responsibility

            D.        Huios: (hwee-os’) the fully matured (trustworthy)

1. Romans 8:19:  reliable, dependable, faithful, sober

2. Galatians 4:6:  no longer servants (under tutors & governors)

3. Hebrews 12:5-13:  the change of chastisement

                                    a.         despise not chastening

                                    b.         nor faint when rebuked

                                    c.         endure chastisement

1)        chasten him early:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 13:24

2)        chasten while there is hope:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 19:18

3)        stripes cleanses the inward parts:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 20:30

4)        train up a child:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 22:6

5)        foolishness bound in the heart of a child:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 22:15

6)        withhold not correction:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 23:13

7)        child left to himself:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 29:15

9)        rod for the fool’s back:  Mishlei (Proverbs) 26:3

            E.         Pater (pat-ayr’) father, elder
