RIGHTEOUSNESS

I.          TOSSED WITH TEMPEST

A.        Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 54:11 - “O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted...”

                        1.         Afflicted:  oppression

                        2.         Tossed with tempest:  fear  

                        3.         Not comforted:  terror

            B.        Double-mindedness (Fear)

                        1.         Ya’akov (James) 1:5-8

                                    a.         tossed with tempest

                                                1)        to rush upon, to be troubled

                                                2)        to be under the influence of another

                                                3)        governed, controlled, manipulated

                                    b.         fear is unbelief

                        2.         Mattityahu (Matthew) 14:25-31

II.         ESTABLISHED HEART -- Colossians 1:23; 2:7

            A.        Tehillim (Psalm) 112:6-8

                        1.         Shall not be moved

                        2.         Not forgotten

                        3.         Not be afraid of evil report

                        4.         Heart is fixed - single-mindedness

                        5.         Trusting in the L-rd

                        6.         Heart is established

Fear - Unbelief - Doubt - Worry - Cares of this Life - Tension - Concern - Depression

“Where is your heart established?”

III.       JUDGMENT  vs. RIGHTEOUSNESS -- Where Do You Identify?

A.        Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 33:15 - “In those days, and at that time, will I cause the branch of righteousness to grow up unto David;  and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.”

                        1.         Wilderness vs. Inheritance (fruitful land)

a.         Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 32:16 - “Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.”

                        2.         Until the Spirit be poured:

                                    a.         Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 32:15

                                    b.         Yochanan (John) 16:7-11
