I.          DIAKRINO - DOUBT

  1. What it is

  1. 1252 - diakrino - To separate thoroughly, to withdraw from, oppose, to hesitate.  Translated - contend.  Make to differ, doubt, judge, stagger, waver.
  2. From 2919 - krino - to try, to condemn, to punish.

  3. Diakrino doubt is taking the Word to court.  It involves the person who stands at the “Y” with a decision to make.  He has not decided on the Word.
  1. Where it is found in the Word

                        1.         Romans 4:20 - staggering

  1. Diakrino comes through unbelief (apistia).

  2. It is the product of unbelief

  3. Remedy apistia by receiving the Word.

                        2.         Ya’akov (James) 1:5-8 - Wavering (vs. 6)

  1. M’lakhim Alef (1 Kings) 18:21 - How long halt ye?  Between two opinions?

  2. Doubleminded - Double psuche

                        3.         Mark 11:20-24 - Doubt (vs. 23)

  1. Remove Diakrino from your heart.

  2. Guard your heart always - Mishlei (Proverbs) 4:20-23

  1. Progressive Unbelief

                        1.         Apistia + Diakrino will lead to Apeithia.

II.         DISTAZO DOUBT

  1. What it is.

  1. 1365 - distazo - To duplicate, waver in opinion, to think twice, to have a second thought.  Translated doubt.
  2. Distazo doubt is changing your conviction after you begin to walk by faith.
  1. Where it is found in the Word

  1.   Mattityahu (Matthew) 14:22-31 - Doubt (vs.31)

  1. What Peter saw (considered) resulted in his changed conviction.

  2. Romans 4:19 - Consider not the five senses.

  3. Hebrews 3:1 - Consider the One Mashiach Yeshua.

                        2.         Mattityahu (Matthew) 28:16,17 - Doubted - (vs. 17)

  1. Even some of the disciples doubted. So guard your heart disciples!

  2. Some worshipped, some doubted
