  1. WHAT FAITH IS:      Hebrews 11:1

  1. Substance:      5287 - hupostasis (hoop-os’-tas-is) a setting under; to support

  1. 5259 - hupo (hoop-o’) under; to place beneath

  2. 2476 - histemi - (his’-tay-mee) to stand

  1. Evidence:       1650 - elegchos (el’-eng-khos) proof; conviction

  1. HOW FAITH COMES:  Romans 10:17

  1. Comes by hearing & hearing

  2. The Word -- Believe in the Word  (Promises) “I believe that.”

  1. Faith to believe “in” -- Romans 10:10

                                    a.         covenant will I not break:  Tehillim (Psalm) 89:34

b.   keep His Word: D’varim (Deuteronomy)7:9   Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 1:12

                                    c.      Word will not pass away:Mattityahu (Matthew) 24:35

                                    d.         not return void:  Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 55:11

                                    e.         forever settled in Heaven:  Tehillim (Psalm) 119:89

  1. Faith to believe “for” -- Romans 10:10

                                    a.         believe for the promises

                                    b.         believe for the RESULTS

“To change one’s belief, position & course of action.”

  1. BEING FULLY PERSUADED IS THE LINK BETWEEN THE PROMISE & PERFORMANCE

  1. What He had Said & Do:  Romans 4:20,21

  2. Believe That He Is & Rewarder:  Hebrews 11:6

  3. Believe With the Heart and Mouth:  Romans 10:9,10
